Allen-Bradley 1756-IB16IF is a 16-point, isolated DC input module for Rockwell Automation’s ControlLogix I/O architecture, designed for high-speed digital sensing in industrial environments. It accepts 10–30 V DC input signals with sinking or sourcing wiring options, and each of the 16 channels is galvanically isolated from the backplane to reduce ground-loop risk and improve reliability in noisy applications. The module uses a 36-pin terminal interface and supports fast input operation, enabling rapid detection of short pulses. Typical input delay from Off to On is 14 µs with a maximum of 23 µs, and a user-configurable input filter of 0–30,000 µs lets you tailor debounce or pulse shaping for your sensors. For visibility and maintenance, the IB16IF features an Input and Communication Status and Module Health display to quickly assess channel activity and rack health.
