Description:
The Allen-Bradley 1756-IB16ISOE is a 16-channel, isolated input module for ControlLogix systems, optimized for sequence-of-events input. Each input accepts 10–30 VDC signals, with individually isolated channels and 250 V continuous isolation between inputs to guard the controller and field devices from faults and ground loops in harsh industrial environments. The module uses a 36-pin interface and occupies a single slot in a ControlLogix I/O rack, providing a compact way to expand digital input capability within an existing 1756 chassis. As a sequence-of-event input module, it is designed to capture input changes in the correct order, enabling reliable event logging and post-hoc analysis of machine activity.
