Allen-Bradley 1756-IB16K ControlLogix Input Module

The Allen-Bradley 1756-IB16K ControlLogix Input Module is a 16-channel digital DC input module with conformal coating for rugged environments in ControlLogix systems. It provides 16 sinking 12/24 V DC inputs with an operating range of 10–31.2 V DC (nominal 24 V), and offers 250 V isolation between input groups and the backplane with no isolation between individual inputs. Electrical specs include 2 mA backplane current at 24 V, up to 10 mA per input at 31.2 V, off-state current up to 1.5 mA, inrush up to 250 mA, total backplane power 0.56 W, and max power dissipation of 5.1 W at 60 °C, with a screw-to-backplane delay of about 290 µs and software-selectable input filter times of 0/1/2 ms. It is compatible with RSLogix 5000/Studio 5000 environments for ControlLogix I/O, and is commonly used to read digital signals from sensors, pushbuttons, and other binary devices in industrial automation.
