Allen-Bradley 1756-IB32 32-Point Input Module

Allen-Bradley 1756-IB32 is a 32‑point DC input module for Rockwell Automation’s ControlLogix backplane, arranged as two 16‑point groups for 24V DC digital signals. It accepts 10–31.2V DC (nominal 24V) with sinking inputs and provides 250V isolation from the backplane, while there is no isolation between individual inputs within a group. The module draws about 2 mA from the backplane at 24V and 120 mA at 5.1V, with backplane power of 0.66 W and maximum dissipation around 6.2 W at 60°C, and an input impedance of roughly 5.67 kΩ. Activation thresholds are 4.8–5.5 mA for On (10–31.2V) and up to 5V for Off, enabling reliable detection of 24V signals; it also supports a programmable input filter with Off‑to‑On times of 0/1/2 ms and On‑to‑Off times of 0/1/2/9/18 ms to tailor debounce and noise immunity. The module’s update characteristics span a cyclic update time from about 200 µs to 750 ms, and it ships with a 36‑pin terminal block (1756‑TBCH) for standard ControlLogix wiring.
