Allen-Bradley 1756-IB32 32-Point Digital Input Module

The Allen-Bradley 1756-IB32 is a ControlLogix 32-point digital input module that provides sinking, 24 V DC inputs across two 16-point groups. Designed for a 10 to 31.2 V DC input range and mounting in a 1756 I/O backplane, it terminates with two removable 36-pin terminal blocks. Each input has an on-state current of 4.8–5.5 mA at 10–31.2 V, an off-state voltage up to 5 V, input impedance around 5.67 kΩ, and hardware delays of 380 μs (Off→On) and 420 μs (On→Off) with a user-selectable filter of 0/1/2 ms (and 9/18 ms in some configurations). Power and thermal characteristics include about 0.66 W backplane power (120 mA at 5.1 V and 2 mA at 24 V) and up to 6.2 W dissipation at 60 °C, and the module is intended for Series B ControlLogix systems to monitor sensors, pushbuttons, proximity switches, and other 24 V DC field devices.
