The Allen-Bradley 1756-IF16 is a ControlLogix 16‑channel analog input module that digitizes sixteen voltage or current signals for real-time PLC processing, pairing with the Rockwell Automation ControlLogix I/O architecture for scalable data acquisition. Each channel supports either -10 to +10 V input range or 0 to 20 mA, with input impedance of ≥10 MΩ for voltage and 249 Ω for current, and it provides 250 V isolation between inputs and the backplane to protect the controller. The module derives power from the backplane (5.1 V, up to 200 mA) and can operate within a 0 °C to 60 °C ambient range (32 °F to 140 °F) with 5–95% noncondensing humidity, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial environments. Data formatting includes integer mode (left-justified, 2’s complement) and IEEE 32‑bit floating point, and the conversion uses a Sigma‑Delta method with a channel bandwidth of 15 Hz (-3 dB); calibrated accuracy is better than 0.05% of range for voltage and better than 0.15% of range for current at 25 °C, with open‑circuit detection and per‑channel scan timing options for reliable measurements.
