Description:
Allen-Bradley 1756-IH16I is a 16-channel digital input module for ControlLogix systems that accepts 125 V DC nominal signals with a 90–146 V DC operating range. Each input is independently isolated, enabling fault containment and safer interfacing to high‑voltage sensors and switches. It supports programmable input filtering and transition timing: OFF-to-ON delay up to 2 ms, ON-to-OFF delay up to 6 ms, with filter times of 0/1/2 ms for OFF transitions and 0/1/2/9/18 ms for ON transitions. Electrical characteristics include a per‑channel current draw of about 125 mA at 5.1 V and 3 mA at 24 V, backplane power around 0.71 W, and a maximum dissipation of 5 W at 60 °C; off‑state voltage is limited to 20 V DC and off‑state current to 0.8 mA, while on‑state current ranges from 1 mA (at 90 V) to 3 mA (at 146 V). Designed for use in ControlLogix I/O racks with 1756 controllers, this module provides 16 discrete DC inputs for monitoring sensors, switches, and other devices in industrial automation applications.
