Description:
Allen-Bradley 1756-IRT8I is a ControlLogix eight-channel isolated analog input module that accepts RTD, thermocouple, resistance (ohms), and millivolt signals. Each of its eight channels is independently configurable and isolated from the others, providing robust noise rejection in demanding environments. The module uses a 36-pin terminal block for field wiring and is designed for ControlLogix backplanes, delivering a combined backplane power budget of 4.6 W. Input ranges for RTD/ohms are configurable across 1–500 Ω, 2–1000 Ω, 4–2000 Ω, or 8–4000 Ω, while thermocouple and millivolt inputs are supported as part of its combined temperature-sensing capabilities. The device delivers 24-bit resolution per channel, enabling high-precision temperature and sensor measurements across its eight isolated channels, making it suitable for temperature monitoring with RTDs (such as PT100/PT1000), thermocouple-based process temperature control, and low-level millivolt sensor interfacing within automation systems.
