Description:
The Allen-Bradley 1756-IT6I L01 is a six-channel, isolated thermocouple and millivolt input module for ControlLogix controllers, providing six independently isolated analog inputs dedicated to temperature sensing from thermocouples. It supports thermocouple types B, E, J, K, R, S, T, N, C, D, and L (TXK/XK) and offers two input ranges—-12 to 78 mV (standard) and -12 to 30 mV (high-resolution)—with 16-bit resolution: about 1.4 µV/bit on the standard range and 0.7 µV/bit on the high-resolution range. ITS-90 based linearization ensures accurate conversion from thermocouple voltage to temperature, and the module uses a 20-pin interface to the ControlLogix backplane. Typical applications include industrial temperature monitoring and process control in furnaces, extrusion, plastics, and water-treatment lines where isolated inputs help minimize ground loops and common-mode noise.
