Description:
Allen-Bradley 1756-IT6I is a six-channel isolated thermocouple/millivolt input module for Rockwell Automation ControlLogix systems, designed to deliver precise, multi‑channel temperature sensing from a single rack backplane. Each of the six channels is independently isolated from the backplane with 250 V continuous isolation, enabling safe measurement in distributed sensor setups. The module accepts millivolt signals in the ranges -12 to 78 mV or -12 to 30 mV in high‑resolution mode, and provides 16‑bit resolution per channel with typical conversions around 1.4 µV/bit (full range) or 0.7 µV/bit (high‑resolution range). Thermocouple support includes B, E, J, K, R, S, T, N, C, D, and L types with ITS‑90 linearization for accurate temperature calculation, and cold‑junction compensation is applied via a CJ input during conversion. Data readout can be configured in integer format (left‑justified, 2’s complement) or IEEE 32‑bit floating point, depending on the setup. The card occupies a 20‑pin, six‑channel block and is intended for ControlLogix backplanes, making it suitable for precise, multi‑point temperature monitoring in industrial environments.
