Allen-Bradley 1756-IT6I Thermocouple Analog Input Module
Allen-Bradley 1756-IT6I Thermocouple Analog Input Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1756-IT6I is a six-channel, isolated thermocouple analog input module for Rockwell Automation’s ControlLogix I/O ecosystem. It accepts B, E, J, K, R, S, T, N, C, D, and L thermocouples (TXK/XK) and provides six individually isolated input channels with a single integrated cold-junction compensation (CJC) reference, enabling accurate temperature readings across multiple sensors. The input range supports -12 to 78 mV in the standard mode and -12 to 30 mV in the high-resolution mode, with 16-bit resolution and typical conversion accuracy of about 1.4 µV/bit (standard) or 0.7 µV/bit (high-resolution). Designed for industrial environments, the module provides electrical isolation between each channel and the backplane to minimize cross-talk and protect the controller. Typical applications include multi-point temperature monitoring in process lines, furnaces, kilns, or other equipment requiring precise, independent thermocouple measurements within a ControlLogix rack. The 1756-IT6I aligns with the ControlLogix analog input architecture, ensuring straightforward configuration, scaling, and PLC integration within existing Rockwell Automation deployments.
