Description:
The Allen-Bradley 1756-IT6I is a ControlLogix 6-point isolated thermocouple/millivolt input module designed to capture six thermocouple signals with independent isolation from the backplane. Each channel includes its own sensing path with one Cold Junction Compensation (CJC) sensor integrated in the module, and it supports a wide range of thermocouples (B, E, J, K, R, S, T, N, C, D, L via TXK/XK) along with millivolt inputs. The module offers two input ranges: -12 to 78 mV (standard, 16-bit resolution of about 1.4 µV/bit typical) and -12 to 30 mV in high-resolution mode (about 0.7 µV/bit), with ITS-90 thermocouple linearization for accurate conversion across the full temperature range. It uses a 20-pin interface for connection and is intended for industrial temperature sensing in ControlLogix-based systems, suitable for process control, HVAC, and laboratory environments where robust isolation and accurate multi-channel temperature data are required. As part of the 1756 I/O family, the IT6I enables straightforward integration with existing ControlLogix projects and supports reliable, per-channel temperature monitoring across all six inputs.
