Allen-Bradley 1756-IV32 DC Input Module 32-Point
Allen-Bradley 1756-IV32 DC Input Module 32-Point
Description:
The Allen-Bradley 1756-IV32 ControlLogix 32-point DC input module provides 32 digital 10–30 VDC sourcing inputs for ControlLogix I/O backplanes, arranged as two 16-point groups and wired through removable 36-pin terminal blocks. It draws minimal backplane power (0.66 W) while dissipating up to 4.1 W at 60°C, and accepts a nominal 24 V DC input with an on‑state current range from 2 mA (minimum at 10 V) to 3.5 mA (maximum at 30 V), with off‑state voltage limited to 5 V and off‑state current up to 1.5 mA. Input impedance is about 8.6 kΩ at 30 V, and a rated inrush current of up to 250 mA decays to roughly 37% within about 22 ms if the input remains inactive. The screw-terminal to backplane signal path includes a hardware delay of around 350 μs (typical) with user‑selectable input filtering times (0, 1, or 2 ms for standard operation, and extended options up to 9 or 18 ms in certain configurations). Designed for use in 1756 ControlLogix systems, the IV32 is compatible with TBCH-style terminal blocks and standard 36‑pin wiring, making it suitable for interfacing a wide range of industrial sensors and discrete devices (such as pushbuttons, limit switches, and proximity sensors) that operate on 10–30 VDC sourcing signals.
