Allen-Bradley 1756-L61S ControlLogix IO Module

The Allen-Bradley 1756-L61S GuardLogix Controller is a safety-enabled ControlLogix CPU designed for integrated safety and standard control in a single module. It provides 2 MB of standard program memory and 1 MB of dedicated safety memory, enabling concurrent logic and safety tasks within a GuardLogix architecture. It plugs into a ControlLogix backplane in a 1756 chassis and communicates with I/O modules and networks in the same system; its safety memory supports monitoring and execution of safety routines across connected I/O modules. Typical applications include safety interlocks, emergency-stop control, and safety-rated control of machines where both standard and safety logic must run on a single platform. As part of the GuardLogix family, the L61S is compatible with Rockwell Automation's safety-certification framework and integrates with standard 1756 I/O modules; Ethernet connectivity is supported via the system and optional networking modules.
