The Allen-Bradley 1756-L81ESK GuardLogix 5580 Safety CPU is a safety-rated controller for GuardLogix 5580 systems, integrating 3 MB of standard memory with 1.5 MB of dedicated safety memory to run complex control and safety logic. It provides a USB port, a 1 gigabit embedded Ethernet port, and supports up to 100 EtherNet/IP devices, with a 4‑character alphanumeric display for local diagnostics and status, and it is conformally coated for harsher environments. As part of the GuardLogix 5580 family, this safety CPU supports safety tagging and, when used per the Safety Reference Manual, can deliver SIL 3 and PLe ratings, enabling safety-critical automation applications such as machine safety interlocks and guarded processes.
