Allen-Bradley 1756-LSP GuardLogix Safety Controller

The Allen-Bradley 1756-LSP GuardLogix Safety Partner Processor is a dedicated safety co-processor designed to operate with GuardLogix main controllers to deliver integrated safety functionality in industrial automation. Used with GuardLogix controllers such as the 1756-L61S, 1756-L62S, and 1756-L63S, the LSP handles safety tasks in concert with the primary controller and mirrors the safety memory configuration of the corresponding controller. Firmware revision F Rev. 1.10 is indicated for this module, and the safety memory is the same size as the memory of the main GuardLogix controller. Rockwell Automation discontinued the GuardLogix Safety Partner module as of June 1, 2017, and it is no longer sold new by the manufacturer (availability today is limited to secondary markets). In some listings it is referenced as 55LSP, and it plays the role of the Safety Partner in GuardLogix safety systems to enable functional safety within a unified control architecture. This module is intended for safety-related applications within GuardLogix systems, supporting safety programming and monitoring in conjunction with a compatible primary controller.
