Allen-Bradley 1756-OA16I ControlLogix Output Module

The Allen-Bradley 1756-OA16I ControlLogix AC Output module provides 16 isolated discrete AC outputs for ControlLogix systems. Each channel switches 74–265 VAC loads with per‑point ratings up to 2 A at 30 °C (86 °F) and derates to 1 A at 60 °C (140 °F); the module’s total output rating is 5 A at 30 °C (derating to 4 A at 60 °C). Outputs are isolated from the backplane and from one another, offering 250 V continuous isolation between outputs and backplane. The design supports a surge per point of up to 20 A for 43 ms (repeatable every 2 s) at 60 °C, and dissipates up to about 5.5 W at elevated temperature. Backplane current draw is approximately 300 mA at 5 V and 3 mA at 24 V. The 16 outputs terminate through a 36‑pin interface and require removable terminal blocks such as 1756‑TBCH or 1756‑TBS6H for wiring. This module is intended for driving AC loads such as relay coils, contactors, motors starters, or other 74–265 VAC devices, within a ControlLogix backplane and rack.
