The Allen-Bradley 1756-OA8D is an eight-channel ControlLogix diagnostic AC output module that mounts in a 1756 backplane to drive 120/240 VAC loads. Each of its eight outputs is electronically fused and rated for 2.0 A per point over a 74–265 VAC range. Designed for diagnostic capability, the OA8D reports conditions such as field power loss and wiring faults using module-defined data types (for example FieldPwrLoss is a DINT with 0 = no fault and 1 = fault). Module configuration is stored in the controller, and the controller configures the module, including program-mode behavior and responses to communications failures.
