Allen-Bradley 1756-OB16D ControlLogix DC Output Module

Allen-Bradley 1756-OB16D is a ControlLogix 16-point DC diagnostic output module that provides 16 24V DC outputs designed to source current to field devices. It operates from a 19.2–30 VDC supply and per-channel rating supports up to 1 A for each output, making it suitable for driving solenoids, relays, and other DC loads in a ControlLogix I/O rack. The module includes field-side diagnostics, including on-state verification and off-state detection, with time-stamped diagnostic data available to the controller for troubleshooting. Short-circuit protection is specified with trip behavior of 8 A for 180 ms and a minimum 10 A for 120 ms under fault conditions. It also supports a configurable maximum pulse width for pulsed output applications and provides output verification as part of its diagnostic feature set. For wiring, OB16D uses field connections via removable terminal blocks and is designed to be installed in a 1756 I/O backplane alongside other ControlLogix modules.
