Description:
Allen-Bradley 1756-OB16E is a ControlLogix 16-point DC output module that provides sixteen 24V DC source outputs for energizing field devices such as solenoids, relays, and indicator lamps via a 1756 backplane, using a removable terminal block (1756-TBNH) for wiring. It operates from a 10–31.2 VDC supply (nominally 24 V) and groups outputs into two banks of eight, with electronic fusing per group for protection. Each point can source up to 1 A (maximum 1 A per point at 60 °C), with a total module current rating of 8 A and backplane power of 1.32 W; on-state voltage drop is up to 400 mV at 1 A, and off-state leakage is up to 1 mA per point, with surge capability of 2 A for 10 ms per point. Timing is 70 µs nominal Off-to-On (up to 1 ms max) and 360 µs nominal On-to-Off (up to 1 ms max); the module dissipates up to 4.1 W at 60 °C. Electrical isolation is 250 V (continuous) between outputs and backplane, and between output groups; there is no per-point isolation within a group. Operational temperature range is 0 to 60 °C (32–140 °F), with nonoperating range -40 to 85 °C, and it is designed for ControlLogix I/O architectures requiring ControlLogix backplanes and chassis.
