Allen-Bradley 1756-OB32 32-Point DC Output Module

Allen-Bradley 1756-OB32 is a ControlLogix 32-point DC output module that provides 32 discrete, sourcing DC outputs for 10–31.2 V DC operation on the ControlLogix backplane. It groups its outputs into two 16-point sections and uses removable terminal blocks (1756-TBCH or 1756-TBS6H) for wiring. Each point can source up to 0.5 A at 50 °C, with derating to 0.35 A at 60 °C, for a module-wide maximum of 16 A at 50 °C (10 A at 60 °C). The On-state voltage drop is up to 200 mV at 0.5 A, while Off-state leakage per point can be as high as 0.5 mA. Backplane current is around 300 mA, and total power dissipation can reach 4.8 W at 60 °C. Typical output timing includes 60 µs nominal Off-to-On and about 200 µs nominal On-to-Off, reflecting fast, deterministic control for loads such as relays, contactors, or other DC-driven devices.
