Allen-Bradley 1756-OBV8S DC Safety Output Module is an eight-channel safety output card for Rockwell’s ControlLogix 1756 backplanes, designed to drive safety-related loads inGuardLogix/ControlLogix systems. It provides eight bipolar DC safety outputs that can source or sink current to control protective devices such as relays, contactors, and safety interlocks in a dedicated safety I/O network. Each channel is wired through 20-pin removable terminal blocks, and the module operates from a field-side supply of 10–30 V DC (SELV/PELV) while the backplane powers the controller. For proper safety operation, field-side power must be provided by a dedicated 24 V DC SELV/PELV source.
