Allen-Bradley 1756-OF6VI Voltage Output Module
Allen-Bradley 1756-OF6VI Voltage Output Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1756-OF6VI is a six-channel voltage-loop analog output module for ControlLogix systems. Each output is individually isolated from the backplane and from the others, delivering a ±10.5 V range (21 V full-scale) with 14-bit resolution across that span (approximately 1.3 mV per count) and 13 bits across 10.5 V plus a sign bit. The module draws up to 5.5 W from the backplane, with typical supply currents of about 250 mA at 5.1 V and 175 mA at 24 V, and it offers an output impedance under 1 Ω. Protection includes 24 V DC overvoltage and electronically current-limited short-circuit, with drive capability for loads greater than 1 kΩ up to 10 mA per channel. Performance specs include settling to within 95% of the final value in under 2 ms for resistive loads and accuracy better than 0.1% of full scale at 25 °C, with a typical calibration interval of six months and drift figures for offset (~60 µV/°C) and gain (~50 ppm/°C, up to ~80 ppm/°C max). Isolation between I/O and backplane is rated at 250 V. This combination makes the 1756-OF6VI suitable for precise multi‑channel voltage control in ControlLogix-based automation, such as valve or actuator signaling in analog control loops.
