Description:
Allen-Bradley 1756-OW16I is a 16‑point digital output module for Rockwell Automation’s ControlLogix 1756 I/O backplane, delivering individually isolated normally-open contacts for discrete automation tasks. Each of the 16 outputs is isolated from the backplane and from other channels, and supports both DC and AC loads within these per‑point ratings: up to 1 A at 5–30 V DC; 0.5 A at 48 V DC; 0.22 A at 125 V DC; up to 1.5 A at 120 V AC (50/60 Hz) or 0.75 A at 240 V AC (50/60 Hz). The module accepts a dual supply window of 5–125 V DC or 10–240 V AC and provides a load‑dependent output voltage range accordingly. Off‑state leakage is up to 1.5 mA per point and a minimum load of 10 mA is required per point. Backplane power consumption is about 4.4 W, with a maximum dissipation around 4.5 W at 60 °C. Isolation voltage between outputs and backplane (and output‑to‑output) is 250 V, and the module uses electronic, software‑configurable keying with no internal fusing. Switching frequency is limited to roughly 1 operation per 3 seconds (0.3 Hz at rated load), with typical 10 ms delays for both Off‑to‑On and On‑to‑Off transitions. Initial contact resistance is ~100 mΩ at 6 V, 1 A, and expected contact life is ~300,000 cycles resistive or ~100,000 cycles inductive. Operating temperature is 0–60 °C (32–140 °F); non‑operating range is ‑40 to 85 °C (‑40 to 185 °F). This 16‑channel, 16 N.O. module is designed for installation in ControlLogix I/O racks to drive relays or direct‑drive loads in factory automation, packaging lines, and other discrete control applications.
