Allen-Bradley 1769-HSC High Speed Counter I/O Module

The Allen-Bradley 1769-HSC High Speed Counter I/O Module is a Compact I/O counter module for CompactLogix systems, delivering two high-speed counter inputs (up to 1 MHz) and four DC-sourcing outputs. As an intelligent counter module with its own microprocessor and I/O, it can react to fast input signals without overburdening the main PLC scan, making it well suited for encoder and pulse-counting tasks in motion control and high-speed process lines. The two counter inputs support quadrature encoder configurations in X1, X2, or X4 modes, enabling precise position and speed measurements from devices such as encoders or pulse sensors.
