Allen-Bradley 1794-AENT Ethernet Interface Module

The Allen-Bradley 1794-AENT FLEX I/O Ethernet/IP Adapter Module provides a single RJ45 Ethernet port to connect FLEX I/O modules to an EtherNet/IP network, serving as the gateway between the network and the FLEX I/O backplane. It supports up to eight FLEX I/O modules on its backplane and an Ethernet link speed of 10/100 Mbps. The module is powered from a 24V DC supply (19.2–31.2V, 5% ripple) and draws about 9.6 W, with a FlexBus backplane current limit of 640 mA max to feed connected I/O modules. IP addressing can be obtained via DHCP/BOOTP or configured statically through BootP/DHCP utilities or Rockwell software, and all I/O data exchange occurs over EtherNet/IP. Typical applications include integrating FLEX I/O racks into ControlLogix/CompactLogix systems for modular, scalable automation in manufacturing environments.
