The Allen-Bradley 20-COMM-D DeviceNet adapter is an embedded DeviceNet communication module designed to be installed inside PowerFlex drives, enabling the drive to communicate on a DeviceNet network with a PLC. It is an internal option for PowerFlex 7-Class drives, allowing data exchange between the drive and the DeviceNet network. Configuration is performed via DIP switches to set the DeviceNet node address and baud rate. Documentation and manuals show its use with SLC 500/RSLogix 500 environments through Explicit Messaging for reading and controlling drive parameters.
