Description:
The Allen-Bradley 22-COMM-D DeviceNet Communication Module is a DeviceNet-to-DSI adapter that adds DeviceNet network connectivity to PowerFlex drives, enabling DeviceNet messages to interface with the drive’s Drive Serial Interface. Specifically designed for PowerFlex 4/4M and PowerFlex 40 drives, it bridges the DeviceNet network to the drive’s DSI path for parameter and I/O exchange. Configuration is performed with DIP switches to assign the node address and select the bus speed (125, 250, or 500 kbps), and a jumper selects between single-drive and multi-drive operation. The module uses a DeviceNet 5-pin connector, typically sealed in newer revisions, with some revisions offering an open-style terminal block.
