Allen-Bradley 2711-K5A15 PanelView 550 HMI Display

The Allen-Bradley 2711-K5A15 PanelView 550 is a 5-inch keypad-operated HMI terminal that serves as a standalone operator interface for legacy PLCs such as SLC 500, PLC‑5, and MicroLogix. It uses a monochrome LCD with a 256 × 128 pixel resolution on a 4.75 × 2.38 in (120 × 60 mm) display area and a backlight rated at about 100,000 hours. The keypad is a stainless-steel domed membrane type with 10 function keys (F1–F10) and an actuation life of about 1 million presses. Power is 18–30 V DC (nominal 24 V) with a maximum draw of 18 W. Communication options include EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, DH+, Remote I/O, DH-485, and RS‑232 (DH‑485 or DF1). Program storage uses 170 KB of application runtime and 240 KB of nonvolatile RAM for objects, text, and bitmaps, with ATA memory card support for additional data. Configuration is performed with PanelBuilder32 on a PC, and the unit provides a real-time clock that is battery-backed to timestamp data; the battery is field replaceable.
