The Allen-Bradley 709-AOD is a Bulletin 709 Series motor starter assembly in a compact NEMA Size 0 footprint designed for small industrial loads. It uses a 110–120 VAC operating coil (50/60 Hz) with coil part number 70A86 to energize the starter from standard control circuits. The 70A86 coil is specified for Bulletin 709, as well as size 0 contactors in the 70A and 70D families, ensuring compatibility with other components in legacy Allen-Bradley panels. This configuration enables reliable direct switching for small-motor loads in legacy control installations that rely on AB’s 700-series starters.
