Allen-Bradley 802C-NL22E Non-Latch Cable Safety Pull Switch
Description:
Allen-Bradley 802C-NL22E Lifeline 4 Non-Latch Cable Pull Switch is a non-latching safety pull switch used to stop machinery from remote locations via a pull cord, commonly installed at pinch points on conveyors or press lines to provide an operator-initiated emergency stop in safety circuits. Manufactured as part of the Lifeline 4 family, the 802C-NL22E integrates four contacts: two normally open safety contacts and two normally closed auxiliary contacts, enabling both fail-safe signaling and control of safety relays within a single device. Its wiring interface uses 1/2-inch NPT conduit entry, and it specifies a maximum cable span between switches of about 50 meters with a high pull cable tension of 67 newtons (about 15 pounds), making it suitable for longer cable runs between safety stations on larger lines. As a Series D model, the NL22E variant is explicitly a non-latch configuration, meaning the actuation is momentary and reset occurs when the pull is released, which helps avoid accidental retention in the tripped state.
