Allen-Bradley 809-A06E Instantaneous Trip Current Relay
Allen-Bradley 809-A06E Instantaneous Trip Current Relay
Description:
Allen-Bradley 809-A06E Instantaneous Trip Current Relay is a magnetically operated device used to protect motors and feeders in AC/DC circuits up to 600 V. It delivers instantaneous current-trip action at user-adjustable thresholds: 6.3–18.1 A for AC and 5.7–17.0 A for DC, enabling fast interruption when the line current exceeds the setpoint. The coil draws up to 12 A continuously, and the relay is designed for operation at standard power frequencies, including 25 Hz, 50 Hz, and 60 Hz. Rated for up to 600 V across the monitored circuit, the 809-A06E typically provides a single normally open contact with automatic reset, suitable for use in industrial control panels and motor-protection schemes where rapid disconnection is required when overcurrent is detected. This Bulletin 809 instantaneous trip relay is part of Allen-Bradley’s family of motor-protection relays and is commonly used to guard motors against overcurrent conditions, protect wiring, and coordinate protection with upstream devices.
