Allen-Bradley 836T-D462J Differential Pressure Switch
Allen-Bradley 836T-D462J Differential Pressure Switch
Description:
Allen-Bradley 836T-D462J differential pressure switch is a two-bellows, dual-system pressure-difference control in a Style D enclosure designed for industrial process sensing. The unit uses a two-bellows architecture, with each system connected to its own bellows, to sense differential pressure and drive a two-circuit contact block that ships standard with the device. It is built for Type 1, 4 and 13 enclosure environments and features a stainless-steel bellows (Type 316) for corrosion resistance. The model offers adjustable system-difference range of 12 to 70 psi and adjustable differential from about 12 to 50 psi (mid-range values), enabling you to tailor the actuator point to your process. The device handles line pressures up to 500 psi and supports up to 500 psi occasional surge, making it suitable for high-impulse environments. The D462J variant shares the 836T family’s standard customization option, including Custom Trip or Reset Setting versus Standard, allowing factory-configured ranges while preserving field adjustment capability. Typical applications include monitoring pressure drop across filters, ducts, or valves in industrial air and gas systems, and triggering alarms or control actions when the pressure difference crosses the set point. With its robust enclosure and stainless steel bellows, the 836T-D462J is appropriate for harsh environments where reliable differential pressure sensing and reliable electrical switching are required.
