Allen-Bradley 871FM-D2NP11-E2 Proximity Sensor

The Allen-Bradley 871FM-D2NP11-E2 is an inductive proximity sensor that detects metal objects without contact and provides a reliable switching signal for industrial automation. It has a sensing distance of about 5–11 mm, operates on 10–30 VDC with an NPN normally open output capable of up to 200 mA, and responds at roughly 500 Hz. Housed in a cylindrical threaded body and rated IP67, it can be connected via pre-wired cable or connector, with a built-in sensing status LED and an operating temperature range of –25 to +70 °C. Common applications include packaging machines, conveyors, assembly lines, material handling systems, robotic equipment, CNC machines, pick-and-place setups, and safety interlock contexts where repeatable metal detection is required.
