Alpha Wire 1178C is an eight-conductor, 22 AWG communication and control cable built with stranded copper conductors insulated in PVC and housed in a slate jacket for reliable internal wiring in control panels, instrumentation, and data-signaling applications. The cable is unscreened (unshielded) and rated for 75°C with UL CM or AWM 2576 classifications and FT4 fire-test rating (CMG FT4), and it carries RoHS and CE compliance. Its eight color-coded conductors follow the standard Alpha Wire palette: black, red, white, green, orange, blue, brown, and yellow. The outer jacket diameter is about 0.230 inches with a nominal wall of 0.032 inches, and the jacket material is PVC.
