Altronix SMP3ET Power Supply/Charger Kit is a compact wall-mount power solution that converts a low-voltage AC input into a regulated 6VDC or 12VDC output with 2.5A continuous supply current, designed for access control, security, and CCTV peripherals that require dependable additional power. The kit ships in the BC100 enclosure and includes a TP1640 plug-in transformer, delivering 16VAC input to the internal regulator. The 6V or 12V DC output is electronically regulated and protected against short circuits and thermal overload, while a built-in charger supports sealed lead-acid or gel-type batteries and provides automatic switchover to a standby battery on AC loss, with a maximum charge current of 0.3A. LED indicators show AC input and DC output status for quick troubleshooting. Typical applications include powering door controllers, card readers, relays, and other low-voltage devices in security and access-control systems, with battery backup enhancing reliability during power interruptions.
