AMCI Advanced Micro Controls 1732H Encoder Module
AMCI Advanced Micro Controls 1732H Encoder Module
Description:
The AMCI 1732H Encoder Module is a resolver interface card for Allen-Bradley PLC-5 systems that decodes resolver signals into digital position and tachometer data suitable for reporting on the 1771 I/O backplane. Belonging to AMCI's 1731H/1732H family, the module communicates using block-transfer protocols and is designed to replace a separate resolver decoder box and related wiring in supported AB installations. When used with a 1700H resolver interface, it provides an absolute position value with up to ten-bit resolution over a six-conductor cable. Fully AB 1771 I/O‑compatible, the 1732H outputs position and tachometer information to the backplane, enabling straightforward integration of resolver-based sensors into legacy automation architectures.
