Analog Devices 3B40-00 Isolated Wideband MV Input Module
Analog Devices 3B40-00 Isolated Wideband MV Input Module
Description:
Analog Devices 3B40-00 Isolated Wideband MV Input Module is a single‑channel signal conditioner in the 3B Series designed for millivolt‑level inputs, providing isolation and conditioned outputs to feed data acquisition or control systems. Isolation is accomplished by transformer coupling between the input side and the system, helping protect the measurement path from transients and ground loops. The module delivers wide‑bandwidth performance up to 10 kHz and includes pre‑amplification, filtering, and input protection, all in a compact plug‑in package. Front‑panel zero and span adjustments enable field calibration for both the voltage and current outputs, supporting precise alignment with system expectations. The externally programmable versions (3B40‑00 and 3B41‑00) can be configured for user‑defined input/output ranges via the AC1310 ranging card, which houses user‑supplied resistors to determine zero and span. When configured, the 3B40‑00 provides simultaneous precision voltage and current outputs, allowing direct connection to ADCs or control loops while maintaining signal integrity. As part of Analog Devices’ 3B Series signal‑conditioning I/O subsystem, this module offers a versatile, low‑cost means to interconnect real‑world analog signals to a data acquisition or monitoring system without compromising isolation or performance.
