Analog Devices 5B34-01 Isolated Platinum RTD Input
Analog Devices 5B34-01 Isolated Platinum RTD Input
Description:
Analog Devices 5B34-01 Isolated Linearized RTD Input is a single-channel front-end optimized for 100 Ω Pt RTD (Pt100) sensors, converting resistance changes into a precise 0–5 V isolated analog signal suitable for data acquisition and control systems. It supports 2- or 3-wire Pt100 RTDs, providing RTD linearization and signal conditioning to produce a stable voltage proportional to temperature over a -100°C to +100°C range. The input and output are galvanically isolated from the system electronics with up to 1500 V rms continuous isolation, protecting instrumentation and reducing ground-loop errors in industrial environments. The device offers a modest bandwidth around 4 Hz (−3 dB), making it well-suited for slow temperature measurements, with an output that can be read directly by conventional ADCs, PLC analog inputs, or temperature controllers. As part of the 5B RTD input family, the 5B34-01 variant reflects a standard 100 Ω Pt RTD configuration, and Analog Devices notes that custom input/output ranges are available within this family to meet specific application needs.
