Andover Controls Corporation DI-8 Digital Input Module

The Andover Controls DI-8 Digital Input Module is an eight-channel digital input interface for Andover Continuum building automation systems, designed to reliably sense dry-contact closures or 0–5 V DC signals and report their status to the Continuum controller. Each channel can be software-configured as a digital input or counter and channels 1 and 2 support high-speed counting with front-panel switches that select different RC values for the low-pass filter. The DI-8 includes input protection with a 0.5 A resettable fuse, transient voltage suppression (TVS), and reverse-polarity protection to guard against wiring errors and transients. It communicates over the Continuum I/O network (RS-485 variant), with input conditioning referenced to a 5 V logic domain for reliable operation in commercial installations. Typical applications include equipment-status monitoring and alarm-point monitoring, and the module is designed to integrate with other Continuum I/O modules to provide a scalable, cost-effective digital input solution for building automation.
