Andover Controls XPDI8 Expansion Module Eight Channel Digital Input is an xP expansion I/O module that adds eight discrete input channels to Andover Continuum controllers. Designed for use with Andover Continuum Infinet II and BACnet-based controllers, the XPDI8 connects on the xP expansion bus and, with compatible controllers, up to two expansion modules plus a local display can be powered directly from the host controller—no external power supply required. The unit provides eight digital input points in a compact enclosure, enabling the central controller to monitor eight separate on/off signals such as door sensors, status indicators, or other discrete sensors. Each channel is a digital input that can be used to expand the system’s sensing capability without increasing wire runs or requiring a separate power source. Typical applications include monitoring door and equipment status in building automation, HVAC fault indicators, water leak or flood sensors, and other point-in-time signals that must be tracked by the Continuum system.
