APCS SL340-20 APCS Universal Transmitter
APCS SL340-20 APCS Universal Transmitter
Description:
The APCS SL340-20 Universal Transmitter is a compact, field‑configurable isolating transmitter for millivolt signals, delivering true 3‑way galvanic isolation up to 2500 Vrms between input, output, and supply. It accepts a millivolt input from -250 mV to 624 mV (with a maximum input range of 500 mV and an offset up to 50% of range), supports differential or single‑ended sensing, switchable input loading, and 101‑point linearisation to tailor the transfer function. Output options include 1 mA, 10 mA, 20 mA and 1 V, 2 V, 5 V, 10 V, 20 V with corresponding drive capabilities (10 mA into 0–1.8 kΩ or 20 mA into 0–800 Ω); the device can be configured for direct or reverse acting and features signal limiting and a programmable sensor supply. Power is provided by a low‑voltage supply (SL340‑20: 10–60 Vdc or 16–42 Vac, 50/60 Hz), and the unit mounts on 35 mm DIN rails in an ABS/polycarbonate housing with pluggable screw terminals, IP40, and a body size of 12.4 W x 113 H x 108 D mm (approx. 85 g). Programming is performed with the SL300 PC Programmer via USB through the SL303 interface, and the front‑panel access door houses the programming socket; conformal coating is not applied to this variant. The SL340 family is designed for true galvanic isolation and flexible input/output configurations, making it suitable for converting millivolt sensor signals (including linearisation‑driven ranges) for process control and instrumentation networks.
