Appleton AAU-IN A-51 Explosion Proof Light Fixture

The Appleton AAU-IN A-51 Explosion-Proof Light Fixture is a 100-watt incandescent luminaire in Appleton’s A-51 family, designed for hazardous locations where ignitable vapors or dust may be present. This single-lamp, factory-sealed unit is rated for Class I, Division 1 and 2, Groups A, B, C and D, and features an explosionproof globe made of heat- and impact-resistant glass to withstand demanding industrial conditions. The fixture threads onto its mounting hood for quick servicing, allowing lamp changes without disconnecting wiring, and all joints are flame-tight to preserve its protection rating. A two-coat baked epoxy enamel finish provides rugged corrosion resistance, while an aluminum inner reflector and replaceable globe assembly and guard support long life in harsh environments. The AAU-IN version aligns with the standard A-51 architecture and supports 60–100 W incandescent lamps, with installation designed to mount to a globe ring using a three-screw attachment.
