Appleton EDSK-1J Contender Series Box Cover—1-gang, 3/4 in tapped openings—for use with Contender EDS outlet boxes and control stations in hazardous locations. This malleable iron cover mounts to Appleton EDS bodies to enclose a pushbutton or pilot-light operator, ensuring the assembly stays within a protected enclosure in Class I, Division 1, Groups C and D environments. The 3/4 in tapped openings provide a single operator per gang, and the version configured as a pilot-light cover includes a jewel/guard assembly and a 120 VAC, 50/60 Hz, 6 W lamp (LED option available). Designed to prevent ignition by arcing and to support safe operation of control devices in hazardous locations, the EDSK-1J is a front-cover component of the Contender control-station system and is intended only for use with Appleton Contender EDS outlet boxes and control stations.
