Appleton Emerson EXLK136 Explosion Proof Flexible Coupling

Appleton UNILETS EXLK136 is a 1/2 in trade-size, 36 in long explosion-proof, dust-ignitionproof flexible watertight conduit coupling designed to replace rigid conduit in areas with vibration or movement. For use with IMC or threaded rigid metallic conduit, it features a 1.41 in outside diameter and a bronze braid outer with an inner brass core and insulating liner. One end has a union, the other a female end with a removable male nipple, enabling field assembly while preserving ground continuity. The housing provides a smooth, rounded integral bushing in each hub to protect conductor insulation, and accurately tapped, tapered NPT threads ensure tight, rigid joints; the coupling offers conductivity equal to a rigid conduit of the same length (no bonding jumper required). This EXLK136 is UL Listed and CSA certified (UL 886, UL 1203 file E10444; CSA C22.2 No. 25, No. 30; CSA 065181) for Class I, II, and III locations, and Appleton notes it as part of the EXGJH/EXLK family of explosion-proof, dust-ignitionproof, and watertight products.
