Description:

The Appleton GUBB-33-A Hazardous Location Junction Box is a Form 3, thick-wall cast enclosure purpose-built for Class I hazardous locations, providing explosionproof and dust-ignitionproof protection while serving as a junction or pull box for splicing wires and housing relays, instruments, and other control devices in classified locations. Made from malleable iron and UL 886 (UL 1203) listed with CSA C22.2 approvals, it is designed for use with UNILETS threaded metal conduit and is suitable for indoor, outdoor, or corrosive environments where hazardous materials are handled or stored. For capacity, the GUBB-33-A measures 12 inches long by 12 inches wide by 7.75 inches deep overall, with an interior cavity of about 10.75 by 10.75 by 3.94 inches, a 2-inch hub size, and it ships with a cover to seal the enclosure; this yields roughly 455 cubic inches of internal space to accommodate conductors, splices, and equipment. The model is listed for multiple hazardous-location classifications, specifically Class I, Division 1 and 2 (Groups B, C, D); Class II, Division 1 and 2 (Groups E, F, G); and Class III, making it a versatile choice for hazardous environments in industrial settings.
