Description:

Appleton RB600-500 Reducer Bushing is a 6 x 5 in malleable-iron reducing bushing that lets you transition from a 6" trade-size entry to a 5" entry in threaded rigid conduit (RMC) or IMC hubs while maintaining protective sealing and hazardous-location compliance. It features full machine tapered NPT threads and a smooth integral bushing that shields conductor insulation during size reduction, with a triple-coated finish—zinc electroplate, chromate conversion, and epoxy powder coat—for durable corrosion resistance in harsh industrial environments. The RB600-500 is UL Listed and CSA Certified for use in Hazardous Locations (Class I Division 1, Groups A-D; Class II Division 1, E-G; Class III) and is designed for use with threaded enclosures or fittings in explosionproof and dust-ignitionproof installations. The compact 1-13/16 inch length (about 1.812 in) and robust malleable iron construction make it a straightforward, code-compliant way to adapt larger conduits to smaller openings without sacrificing insulation or integrity.
