Appleton ST400L is a 4-inch straight liquidtight conduit connector with an external grounding lug, designed to terminate LFMC or LFNC into enclosures while providing a continuous ground path. The non-insulated ST-series connector features a malleable iron body with a zinc electroplate finish and a long ferrule with pronounced threads that deliver robust pull-out resistance and maximum surface contact for sealing and grounding, typically exceeding UL pull-out requirements. An externally bonded grounding lug supports visible ground-path inspection and ensures reliable bonding continuity across the metal-to-metal interface, even in challenging outdoor or damp environments. The straight configuration supports straightforward terminations, and the design is rated for raintight and oiltight performance, suitable for outdoor installations. This 4-inch connector is UL 514B listed and is commonly used on motors, transformers, and HVAC equipment, as well as robotics and machine-tool applications where LFMC or LFNC must be securely connected to enclosures while maintaining a solid grounding connection.
