Ambion 6-Tube Magnetic Stand AM10055 is a compact magnetic separation accessory designed for small-scale bead-based workflows and holds six microcentrifuge tubes. It provides two insertion positions: a vertical position for round-bottomed or conical tubes in the 0.5–2 mL range, and a tilted position for conical tubes in the 0.01–0.5 mL range, enabling versatility across tube sizes and volumes. When a tube is inserted and the magnetic slide engages, magnetic beads are attracted to the wall of the tube, allowing easy removal of supernatant while the beads remain isolated in the tube. This stand is recommended for use with Ambion bead-based kits, including GlobinClear (AM1980, AM1981), MELT Total Nucleic Acid Isolation System (AM1983), MagMAX Viral RNA Isolation Kits (AM1929, AM1939), MICROBExpress Bacterial mRNA Enrichment Kit (AM1905), MICROBEnrich Kit (AM1901), and Poly(A)Purist MAG Kit (AM1922). For safety and maintenance, do not autoclave, do not expose the magnets to temperatures above 90°C, and clean with 70% isopropyl alcohol, 1% sodium hypochlorite, or 0.1 N HCl, avoiding prolonged exposure to water or aqueous solutions.
