Description:

Armstrong CD-41 is a carbon steel, 3/8" NPT-connected controlled disc steam trap in Armstrong’s CD-40/CD-60 series, designed to drain condensate from high‑pressure steam lines while preserving main-line pressure. It features a replaceable capsule that allows renewal by swapping only the capsule rather than the entire unit, reducing maintenance downtime. Rated for up to 41 bar (600 psig) at saturated steam temperatures, with a maximum saturated-temperature rating up to 260°C (500°F), the CD‑41 supports capacities up to 1,300 kg/h. Its compact body weighs about 0.3 kg (screwed and SW variants) and an optional integral strainer is available to catch debris before discharge. Typical applications include large steam mains drips, process equipment, and HVAC heating loads on constant‑pressure systems requiring reliable condensate removal. The CD‑41 is part of Armstrong’s CD‑40/CD‑60 family and is complemented by larger or smaller CD models (such as CD‑42 in 1/2" NPT and CD‑43 in 3/4" NPT) to fit a range of piping, pressure, and flow requirements.
